Property & Grounds Technician

Main Duties

  • Ensure the Associations grounds are maintained to a high standard of presentation.
  • Ensure the safe and responsible use of all maintenance equipment, including power and hand tools, ride on lawnmower, trimmers, leaf blowers etc.
  • Assist with the updating and record keeping of SSOW documents for equipment.
  • Meet and liaise with external contractors to carry out repairs and property maintenance and arrange their access to enable the work to be completed.
  • Carry out minor repair tasks to communal areas and residents own apartments
  • Undertake weekly, monthly, quarterly, visits, predominately at allocated schemes, and carry out tasks associated to health and safety compliance, including fire alarm tests, water temperature monitoring, fire door/emergency lighting/extinguisher/signage checks, scheme inspections and PAT testing.
  • Accurately record all test results and report any compliance and health and safety anomalies or concerns to the Facilities Manager/Asset Manager.
  • To positively and pro-actively engage with all staff and residents on matters of health and safety,
  • Carry out general housekeeping in support of the Cleaning Contractor
  • Maintain an inventory of all Property and Maintenance equipment and ensure that equipment is serviced/repaired as appropriate and a system of stock control regarding Property and Maintenance equipment is in place.
  • Ensure all accidents to persons or equipment are reported immediately
  • Undertake other duties/hours of work as reasonable required
  • Deliver excellent customer service, being polite, respectful, and courteous always.
  • To consider energy efficiency and the environment ensuring efficient working and use of people, resource, energy, and consumables always to minimise waste.

Ideal Candidate

Have previous similar experience Happy lone working at several sites across the Lincolnshire area as well as being part of a team of three.

Happy traveling to Lincoln each morning to collect van before heading to site.

Be on cover for out of hours calls on a rota basis (these are very occasional on average only one to two calls per month)

Attend rare emergency call outs if required as per rota. (Out of hours call outs will have additional pay)

Be prepared to work flexibly to meet the demands of the service as additional hours may be required to cover for members of the team in the event of sickness and annual leave.

Basic 35 hours a week

Salary £21,827 which includes £2,409 for Out of Hours cover

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Production Operative ( Tetford)
